A Sunset Caught on Cheap Slide Film Make an Interesting Picture
Title:  A Sunset Caught on Cheap Slide Film Make an Interesting Picture
Description:  No push/pull that evening at Eola Tower. An E8 or E9 heads a Dinkey with a power car/coach and a gallery car with markers. The E-unit has a steam generator for intercity trains and thus no head-end power for the all-electric gallery car.

The Night Leverman/Operator at Montgomery Tower
Title:  The Night Leverman/Operator at Montgomery Tower
Description:  A self portrait. The box at the right with the crank is a generator, which rings the phones on the line it is plugged into (see the four plug holes in front of the towerman). The greenish papers hanging diagonally are train orders (aka filmsie). The box partially visible box in the upper right corner is the sounder for the telegraph (not used that night). The lit light of the four lights at the right indicates a westbound train is approaching on the westbound track.
