A Sunset Caught on Cheap Slide Film Make an Interesting Picture |
Description: |
No push/pull that evening at Eola Tower. An E8 or E9 heads a Dinkey with a power car/coach and a gallery car with markers. The E-unit has a steam generator for intercity trains and thus no head-end power for the all-electric gallery car. |

Crossing Over at Oakland Tower |
Description: |
The order board is out for an opposing move. Of course there can't be one but the interlocking was set up so the opposing move order board would be out for any crossover. |

The Night Leverman/Operator at Montgomery Tower |
Description: |
A self portrait. The box at the right with the crank is a generator, which rings the phones on the line it is plugged into (see the four plug holes in front of the towerman). The greenish papers hanging diagonally are train orders (aka filmsie). The box partially visible box in the upper right corner is the sounder for the telegraph (not used that night). The lit light of the four lights at the right indicates a westbound train is approaching on the westbound track. |
