CRI&P 104 and Tower in 1964 |
Description: |
Second unit is most probably 104B and third is an Alco FA1. The diamonds are with the GM&O and Santa Fe. Today the number of diamonds is reduced from 16 to four because the Rock's tracks (now Metra) have been reduced to one. |

CRI&P 111 on West Leads to St. Paul Union Station |
Description: |
The head house is still standing in very good shape with restaurants in it. The waiting room over the tracks was closed off a few years ago when I visited the station. The Mississippi River is just to the right of the photo and the two right tracks are all that remain. Amtrak's Empire Builder uses them but does not stop. Most of the land here, under the station, and the yards beyond is now used for parking. See the St. Paul Union Station aerial photo at http://railfan44.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=656081 |
