B&M Roundhouse Area in 1970 |
Description: |
It had it all, partially painted roundhouse, turntable, boiler house, sand tower, creatively parked gondola cars, some sort of yellow back hoe, and a scattering of first generation EMD diesels. Wikipedia says: West Lebanon grew into a railroad hub with a separate identity [from Lebanon] after lines entered from Boston. This rail center would become known as Westboro after two trains collided when West Lebanon was mistaken for Lebanon. |
