UP 6352 (See Description)
Title:  UP 6352 (See Description)
Description:  Apply named Smelter (Utah), on 10/22/94 a meet of UP two freights is shown there. The westbound stack train is headed due west to California on the ex-WP main. The train headed east (toward the camera, lead unit is SD40M 6352) is coming off the Caliente Subdivision at mp 766.4 on the line from L.A. through Las Vegas to Salt Lake City. The south shore of the Great Salt Lake is a little to the north (right). "Smelter" is the railroad name for the location. You won't find that name on the State's highway map. It dubs the area Lake Point Jct.
