White building in distance was the Pepperidge Farm grain receiving room. A grain car can be seen next to it. Many of my way freight pictures were taken working that siding. The EB dinky was half way between the Westmont and Fairview Ave. (far distance in photo) commuter stations. When a short train was needed the green cars were no doubt left in the Chicago or Aurora yards/station. |
